      <image:title>My Approach</image:title>
<image:caption>Therapy works best when it is tailored to your needs. My job is to provide a safe and welcoming place for you to show up just as you are, to feel heard and supported, and to work through the issues that are causing distress. Sometimes we know why we are feeling what we are feeling and sometimes we don’t—both are great places to start therapy. Together we can explore what is happening in your life and find solutions that best suit you. Therapy is about treating the whole person. When something is not right in our world we feel it in our body as well as our brain. My approach to therapy addresses emotional needs, but also considers how those needs are intertwined with physical and spiritual needs. I am trained in story-based and body-based therapies, as well as therapies focused on skills, to aid not only in symptom reduction, but also to allow us to experience a freer and fuller life. Therapy is a place to heal relationships. Past relationships, especially those with trusted caregivers, profoundly impact our future relationships, including our relationship with ourselves. Discovering where we might be encountering difficulties empowers us to make new, healthy choices for ourselves in order to experience greater connection and more fulfillment with those we love.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Me</image:title>
<image:caption>My motivation in pursuing a career as a mental health counselor is simple: I myself have benefited from life-changing therapy. I feel honored to be able to offer the same to others. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Washington. Prior to my practice as a counselor I worked as a birth doula, helping women and their partners emotionally, physically, and intellectually navigate the birth process and early postpartum time. I have worked with clients of all ages, including two years working with adolescents in middle school and high school settings helping them more fully understand their family and peer relationships, recover from impacts of abuse and parental addiction, and manage the challenging path toward adulthood. I am passionate about good food and wine, spending time with family and friends, listening to live music, getting lost in a good book, being outside, learning something new, and hitting the road in pursuit of adventure. I look forward to journeying with you!</image:caption>
